My poor ‘webmastering’ skills has led to some confusion for those who visit the site looking for our hours of operation, so here they are for the 2011 season:

April – December

Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday 10am – 4pm

Sunday 1pm – 4pm

- Hope that helps.  Please feel free to call us before you visit so that we can tailor your visit to your needs – we’re very adaptable!  Also, those interested in group activities please call – we have another exciting roster of events and special programs for all age groups!

Starting April 2nd, we will be open 6 days a week, Tuesday – Thursday from 10am – 4pm, and Sundays from 1pm – 4pm.

If you’re looking to have a scenic and tasty fall drive, Coronation Hall cider mills near Shawville, Que., is a great destination. And you’ll also get a chance to sample and buy an unusual product — a locally made hard cider that’s crisp, pale and still, not bubbly.

Coronation Hall boasts that its apples come from the Pontiac region’s oldest apple orchard. In fact, the orchard is only eight years old, but its owner, Greg Graham, says it’s the first in the area.

“The settlers often had a few trees for their own use, but as far as I know, mine is the first commercial orchard.”

Then if that wasn’t enough, we had the great fortune to be nominated by our local SADC (Pontiac Community Futures) in the 20th Soiree Action-Valorisation (Outaouais agri-food gala), which was held on March 27th in Buckingham (Gatineau).   The gala honours regional businesses and individuals, and we were pleasantly surprised to win the ‘CREO – Sur les traces d’Erard-Seguin’ Bursary.  This bursary is awarded annually to a young business that stands out for its great potential.  Thank you very much to the SADC Pontiac as our sponsor, the MRC Pontiac as a supporter of the event, and to the ‘Table de concertation agroalimentaire de l’outaouais (TCAO) for organizing the event.
